The Strokes have been announced as headliners for New York festival Governor’s Ball, their first scheduled live date of the year.
The New York band will mark their homecoming alongside fellow headliners Beck and Kanye West at the festival, which takes place in Randall’s Island Park between June 3-5.
Other artists on the bill for the 2016 event include The Killers, M83, HAIM, Robyn, Death Cab For Cutie, Father John Misty, and Chvrches. Eagles Of Death Metal will also perform as will Jamie xx, Miguel, Big Grams, De La Soul, Vince Staples, Purity Ring, Bloc Party, Miike Snow, Courtney Barnett, Bat For Lashes, Gary Clark Jr., Action Bronson, Vic Mensa, Joe Bada$$, Against Me!, FIDLAR, Thundercat, Torres, and Bully.
