Rock star Lenny Kravitz adopted a new canine companion during his ongoing Caribbean charity mission.
The American Woman hitmaker has given a Bahamian Potcake rescue dog refuge and made the announcement by sharing a sweet photo of the adorable pooch on his Twitter account on Tuesday (01Nov16).
He wrote the caption: “Introducing the newest member of the family, JoJo Dancer.”
The super cute puppy will be joining Kravitz’s other dog, Leroy Brown.
The animal-lover has been on a philanthropic campaign in the Bahamas over the past few weeks, touring the tropical Caribbean paradise as part of his charity organisation Let Love Rule.
Just a day before announcing he had adopted little JoJo Dancer, the 52-year-old Are You Gonna Go My Way singer told his Twitter followers he had been spending several hours picking up trash in a bid to protect natural habitats from pollution, and he encouraged others to do the same.
“Each and everyone of us can make a difference by helping to keep our planet clean. #respectyourenvironment #pickinguptrash,” he tweeted, attaching a photo of himself sitting in the back of a pickup truck cargo bed alongside bags of trash.
In addition to environmental clean-up, Kravitz has also been spending time investing in the health of the most impoverished people in the country in partnership with GLO Good foundation, a charity organisation committed to providing dental and oral care to those who can’t afford it.
“Day 3. After 8 extractions, this brother is on the way to rebuilding his mouth and overall internal health,” he captioned a touching photo of himself putting his arm around the shoulders of a man who just got his teeth fixed.
“It is a privilege to serve the people. Charity begins at home,” he declared in another social media post.
