Soundgarden

Soundgarden members Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron have reunited on stage for the first time since Chris Cornell‘s death.

Cornell, who was the frontman of both Soundgarden and Audioslave, died by suicide on May 18, 2017. He was 52 years old.

Guitarist Thayil and drummer Cameron are currently part of the supergroup MC50, which was formed by MC5 founder Wayne Kramer to celebrate the Detroit band’s 50th anniversary. Other musicians included in the band are Fugazi‘s Brendan Canty, King’s X’s Dug Pinnick, Was Not Was’ Don Was, and Zen Guerilla’s Marcus Durant. MC5’s Dennis Thompson is set to appear at select dates.

The Soundgarden members first appeared with MC50 at a show in Denmark last month (June 8), and now Kramer has shared live footage of the band. Watch the supergroup play ‘Come Together’ above.
