Chris Cornell

New music from Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell is to be released – more than a year after his suicide.

The new releases will come in the form of an album and a four-disc box set, which includes 11 unreleased songs.

And the first track on both is entitled When Bad Does Good.

The music has been compiled by Cornell’s wife Vicky and comes from his archives.

She has told how she wants to remind people of all different aspects of her husband – “the friend, husband and father, the risk taker and innovator, the poet and artist”.

Some of the tracks are from Cornell’s solo work and others are from his time with bands.

The Seattle native was 52 when he died in May 2017, in Detroit, Michigan, hours after a gig with Soundgarden.
